The CIFFC IM/IT Strategy was created to enhance and modernize information management systems and IT models and applications in Canada, providing an important part of the foundation for an economically efficient and world-class fire preparedness and response capability.

The Wildland Fire Prevention And Mitigation Action Plan is designed to strengthen the ongoing efforts of FireSmart Canada, CIFFC, and Canada’s federal-provincial-territorial (FPT) wildland fire management agencies and to transform that effort from a wildland-fire-management-centric perspective to an integrated, collective one of all parties.

CIFFC and its member agencies are committed to global leadership in wildland fire equity, diversity and inclusion and ensuring a safe and healthy experience, both physically and psychologically, for all wildland fire personnel.  We will not tolerate harassment, bullying, racism or other forms of disrespectful behaviors.  These behaviors hurt, undermine and divide us; preventing forward progress towards a more equitable, diverse and inclusive wildland fire community in Canada and around the world.  The CIFFC Management Committee approved the implementation of the CIFFC EDI Framework in May 2022.
